Charleston City Night Market
On Friday and Saturday nights the Charleston City Market stays open until 10:30 p.m. It is a free event open to the public and features live entertainment and more than 100 artists and craftspeople selling their goods. The market is a great way to be outdoors while you stroll through the block of vendors.
Known as Charleston’s premier beach club, the Windjammer is located at Front Beach on the Isle of Palms. The club has live music every night of the week and serves food and drinks. You can enjoy the smell of the ocean while you listen to some of the best music Charleston nightlife has to offer.
The Royal American
This bar is one of the most popular places for live music in Charleston. The bar is located in an old iron forge building, but the owners have turned the space into an intimate place to drink beer and listen to live music. The space has a large outdoor patio to enjoy Charleston’s warm summer nights, and there is live music at The Royal American every night of the week.
The Cocktail Club
Located on Charleston’s bustling bar scene of Upper King Street, The Cocktail Club is an upscale lounge dedicated to making craft cocktails. The club is located on the second floor of a building from the 1880s and features a lot of the original architecture. Stop by and enjoy a cocktail in an atmosphere that feels like classic Charleston.
Deco is the largest upscale dance club in Charleston. The 5,000 square-foot-space is located right off of King Street so is a great location for a night on the town. This night club in Charleston, SC has DJ’s Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, and there is a dress code to get into the building.
If you are looking for a bar with games, check out The Alley. Voted Charleston’s Best Sports Bar, The Alley has eight bowling lanes, three bars, a retro arcade, and TVs to watch football, soccer, or basketball. The Alley is located just off of King Street, so it is a great place to stop by on your night out.
