The health and well-being of our guests is our top priority and we have implemented strict cleaning and disinfecting protocol in all of our properties to mitigate the transmission of COVID-19. Our professional cleaning teams have deployed enhanced cleaning procedures that are in-line with the World Health Organization, the CDC, and the South Carolina Department for Health and Environmental Control. 
 
Our housekeeping staff are using disinfectants that are EPA-registered as “approved for use against COVID-19”. Our team is well-versed and trained on effective disinfecting, including proper application processes and thoroughly disinfecting all hard surfaces, spending extra time focusing efforts on cleaning and disinfecting “high-touch” contact points including but not limited to: doorknobs, locks, thermostats, light switches, fan pulls, stair railings, remotes, wardrobe & cabinet handles, and toilets. 
 
Additionally, our cleaners are washing their hands frequently and donning new Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)  as they move between each property. 
 
Upon request, Luxury Simplified Retreats is happy to provide disposable face masks to guests.

Property Description
LAKESIDE HOUSE is a classic, southern home, loaded with elegance and charm with jaw dropping lake views and a desirable Mt. Pleasant location.  With 7 outdoor porches, finding a spot to enjoy your morning coffee and take in the views will be easy.  Located within the I’on neighborhood, your stay at Lakeside House means you can enjoy all of the outdoor spaces that are the hallmark of the I’on community, including the lakes throughout I’On that are connected by canals and footbridges or exploring the tidal creeks and saltwater marsh, all while savoring the breathtaking views of Eastlake from your own porch.

 

Within its idyllic tree-lined streets, I’On has its own neighborhood center, called I'On Square that serves as a mini downtown district with shops and restaurants. You’ll find a pub, a bakery, and cafes for take-out dining to enjoy back at home, plus acclaimed dining spots like Community Table and The Shelmore. This charming area is within walking distance from the surrounding homes. Public spaces tucked throughout the neighborhood include 2 lakes, the Rookery, 12 parks, an outdoor amphitheater, a boathouse, 6 miles of walking trails, plus nearly 2 miles of marsh front hiking trails.

 

With 3 BR/2.5 BA in the main house plus an additional 1 BR/1 BA detached carriage house, Lakeside House is designed for comfort and offers loads of space for everyone to spread out. This elegant home steps into a foyer with dramatic winding staircase that sets the stage for every incredible detail to come. With decor updates completed in fall 2021, this home showcases bright, open interiors, hardwood floors throughout, floor to ceiling french doors that lead to long covered porches, built-in bookcases for storage.

 

The main floor living area includes a spacious well-appointed cook’s kitchen, and everything you need to prepare meals or entertain with oversized center Island, farmhouse sink, Thermadore gas range, generous cabinetry and separate butler’s pantry with wine fridge. The kitchen includes a table that SEATS 8 for casual meals, with direct access to the adjacent formal dining room that has a table and chairs to SEAT 8.  The expansive living room has abundant seating, fireplace, SMART TV and French doors that frame those spectacular lake views.

 

Upstairs, you will find the incredible primary suite.  This relaxing sanctuary with cozy sitting area offers a spot to unwind at the end of the day. Appointed with a KING BED and luxury linens, this suite includes a SMART TV, private office, en-suite bath with walk-in shower, and oversized closet with an abundance of built-ins. French doors lead to two separate porches to capture the lowcountry breezes or take in those stunning lake views. 

 

Additionally, on the second floor you will find two additional bedrooms, each appointed with a QUEEN BED and SMART TV, doors that lead to outdoor porches, and access to a shared full bath that features a claw foot soaking tub and separate walk-in shower. With a convenient location nearby to all of the bedrooms, you’ll find the laundry room with full-sized WASHER/DRYER.

 

If your stay at Lakeside House includes extended family or friends, you’ll be delighted to have the additional space offered in the 1 BR/1 BA carriage house, attached by covered breezeway to the main house.  This charming carriage house offers a full kitchen, living room, bar height counter with stools for dining, desk area for remote work or school, full bath with oversized walk-in shower and separate bedroom with QUEEN BED. The carriage house has a small outdoor patio of its own with a table and chairs to enjoy outdoor dining.


Access
Each of our luxury vacation rentals is accessed by a keyless door code for ease of entry, and allows for a zero-interaction check-in/check-out process. A door code specific to each guests’ stay will be provided by your Concierge on the date of your check-in. If you have any questions about directions or access to the property, your concierge will be ready and waiting to assist you by phone. In addition, for properties with gate or garage access, you will be given this access code on the day of your arrival as well.

Interaction
Upon arrival, after the established 4PM check-in time, you may enter and exit the rental at your leisure with these codes. Additionally, requests can be made for your Concierge to meet you at the property upon check-in. We are here to make the check-in process a seamless one! 

Notes
Our concierge team is committed to delivering exceptional service, impeccable cleanliness and all the amenities of your everyday home. With each stay you’ll enjoy high thread count linens, spa quality towels, hair dryer, ironing board, washer and dryer, standard coffee maker, kitchen cookware and utensils, shower toiletries and soaps, extra linens and towels, air conditioning, cable and wireless internet, and more. With our concierge services you can choose to have our team handle all the details of your trip. From stocking your refrigerator to reserving beach equipment, there isn’t much our Concierge team can’t help you with during your stay. And should you need any recommendations, it would be our pleasure to provide suggestions for restaurants, make reservations, organize activities, and answer any questions.

We offer the option to purchase trip insurance through CSA Travel Insurance. We highly recommend adding trip insurance to your reservation, especially if you are traveling during hurricane season (June-November).

At the time of booking, we require a payment of 50% of your total rental amount. The remainder of your balance will be due 30 days prior to your check in date and will be automatically charged to the card we have on file. If you are booking within 30 days of your expected arrival date, the full payment is due at the time of booking. 

We have temporarily adjusted our cancellation policy to allow for flexibility to help you make the right decisions regarding travel at this time. Please inquire with out team for additional details.
