Charlotte Street Cottage

description

The health and well-being of our guests is our top priority and we have implemented strict cleaning and disinfecting protocol in all of our properties to mitigate the transmission of COVID-19. Our professional cleaning teams have deployed enhanced cleaning procedures that are in-line with the World Health Organization, the CDC, and the South Carolina Department for Health and Environmental Control.

Our housekeeping staff are using disinfectants that are EPA-registered as “approved for use against COVID-19”. Our team is well-versed and trained on effective disinfecting, including proper application processes and thoroughly disinfecting all hard surfaces, spending extra time focusing efforts on cleaning and disinfecting “high-touch” contact points including but not limited to: doorknobs, locks, thermostats, light switches, fan pulls, stair railings, remotes, wardrobe & cabinet handles, and toilets.

Additionally, our cleaners are washing their hands frequently and donning new Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)  as they move between each property.

Upon request, Luxury Simplified Retreats is happy to provide disposable face masks to guests.

Don't just visit historic downtown Charleston, stay in a restored carriage house that truly is in the heart of it all. Located in Charleston’s distinctive Wraggsborough neighborhood, Charlotte Street Cottage is a secluded, elegantly restored 200 year-old carriage house tucked behind intricate iron gates on an acre of gardens, set on grounds alongside the graceful main house.  This private, charming, restored home is decorated in the style of a chic, french country cottage.

While historic, this two bedroom, one and a half bath home has all the modern amenities that you could want including a fully equipped modern kitchen, cozy combined dining & living area, high speed internet, smart TV and a stack washer & dryer. The bedrooms, both located on the 2nd floor are each furnished with a queen bed and luxurious linens.

Just a block to Meeting Street and Marion Square, Charleston’s 6+ acre public park and that includes green space,  walking trails, and a  fountain and is home to Charleston's local Farmers Market. Charlotte Street Cottage is just steps away from shops, dining, entertainment and numerous other walkable amenities, including the South Carolina Aquarium, Galliard Center and the King Street Shopping District.
The area of Charleston’s early Wraggborough neighborhood was owned and named for Joseph Wragg, the father of many children, each of which had a street named for them in the original layout of Charleston, and this is how Charlotte Street gets its name. In the area directly around Charlotte Street Cottage you will find all of the other sibling’s streets including Mary Street, Ann Street, Henrietta Street, Judith Street and John Street, as well as Wragg Square, at the corner of Charlotte & Meeting Street.
