The health and well-being of our guests is our top priority and we have implemented strict cleaning and disinfecting protocol in all of our properties to mitigate the transmission of COVID-19. Our professional cleaning teams have deployed enhanced cleaning procedures that are in-line with the World Health Organization, the CDC, and the South Carolina Department for Health and Environmental Control. 
 
Our housekeeping staff are using disinfectants that are EPA-registered as “approved for use against COVID-19”. Our team is well-versed and trained on effective disinfecting, including proper application processes and thoroughly disinfecting all hard surfaces, spending extra time focusing efforts on cleaning and disinfecting “high-touch” contact points including but not limited to: doorknobs, locks, thermostats, light switches, fan pulls, stair railings, remotes, wardrobe & cabinet handles, and toilets. 
 
Additionally, our cleaners are washing their hands frequently and donning new Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)  as they move between each property. 
 
Upon request, Luxury Simplified Retreats is happy to provide disposable face masks to guests.

Property Description
URBAN ESCAPE is a charming, upscale townhome with an ideal location in the Radcliffeborough neighborhood that provides an urban retreat in the heart of downtown Charleston. With comfortable furnishings and well designed interiors, this 3 bedroom, 2 /12 bath home SLEEPS 8 GUESTS for a longterm stay.

Spacious and inviting with living areas that span 4 floors, including an open living room and eat-in kitchen, full of natural light from abundant windows and porches overlooking Morris Street. Complete with marble countertops, gas stove, stainless steel appliances, and a built-in coffee bar, this well appointed kitchen has everything you need to feel at home. There is room for everyone to gather, with ample seating at the center island, or options to dine al fresco on the porch or at the large dining table in the ground floor game room. 

On the upper two floors you’ll discover three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The spacious master bedroom with KING BED is complete with a large closet, luxurious bath, and private sundeck overlooking Charleston’s skyline! Bedroom 2 has a QUEEN BED and Bedroom 3 has a KING BED and each has access to a shared bath. With the addition of the SLEEPER SOFA on the main level, there’s room to sleep 8 guests. You’ll find a washer/dryer conveniently located on both the second floor and on the ground floor of this townhome. The lower level game room offers room for fun and includes a foosball table, and a game table that seats 8.  As a townhome, there is a private set of stairs to access the rental.

With a private driveway and off-street parking, you can leave your car and walk everywhere in the heart of downtown Charleston! This trendy area is a quick, two-block walk from the bustling Upper King District which includes award-winning restaurants and shops. Some of our favorites include Halls Chophouse, The Darling Oyster Bar, Vintage Lounge, and Kudu Coffee & Craft Beer. Looking for a sweet start to your day? Make sure you stop by Sugar Bakeshop or Brown’s Court Bakery for a baked treat. 

Throughout the summer, enjoy the farmer’s market around the corner in Marion Square with local artists, vendors, and farmers. All year long, Second Sunday on King Street shuts down Lower King for a “shop and stroll” featuring street vendors and performers, live music, dining and shopping.                                 
                                                     
Access
Each of our luxury vacation rentals is accessed by a keyless door code for ease of entry, and allows for a zero-interaction check-in/check-out process. A door code specific to each guests’ stay will be provided by your Concierge on the date of your check-in. If you have any questions about directions or access to the property, your concierge will be ready and waiting to assist you by phone. In addition, for properties with gate or garage access, you will be given this access code on the day of your arrival as well.

Interaction
Upon arrival, after the established 4PM check-in time, you may enter and exit the rental at your leisure with these codes. Additionally, requests can be made for your Concierge to meet you at the property upon check-in. We are here to make the check-in process a seamless one! 

Notes
Our concierge team is committed to delivering exceptional service, impeccable cleanliness and all the amenities of your everyday home. With each stay you’ll enjoy high thread count linens, spa quality towels, hair dryer, ironing board, washer and dryer, standard coffee maker, kitchen cookware and utensils, shower toiletries and soaps, extra linens and towels, air conditioning, cable and wireless internet, and more. With our concierge services you can choose to have our team handle all the details of your trip. From stocking your refrigerator to reserving beach equipment, there isn’t much our Concierge team can’t help you with during your stay. And should you need any recommendations, it would be our pleasure to provide suggestions for restaurants, make reservations, organize activities, and answer any questions.

We offer the option to purchase trip insurance through CSA Travel Insurance. We highly recommend adding trip insurance to your reservation, especially if you are traveling during hurricane season (June-November).

At the time of booking, we require a payment of 50% of your total rental amount. The remainder of your balance will be due 30 days prior to your check in date and will be automatically charged to the card we have on file. If you are booking within 30 days of your expected arrival date, the full payment is due at the time of booking. 

We have temporarily adjusted our cancellation policy to allow for flexibility to help you make the right decisions regarding travel at this time. Please inquire with out team for additional details. 

*Minimum rental age is 25. 
*As a townhome, there is a private set of stairs to access the rental. Keyless entry locks allow ease of access in and out of the townhome. 
*A rental application and background check is required before access to the property will be allowed. The cost is $50
*A Ring Doorbell with camera is provided for security purposes only & only surveils the front door.
